1. Agreement

This site is published by the operator of SmartHomeVerdict (“we”, “us”). By accessing smarthomeverdict.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

2. What this site is

SmartHomeVerdict publishes editorial reviews, comparisons and buying advice for home appliances. We are not a retailer, we do not sell products, we do not publish prices, and we do not process orders, payments, deliveries or warranty claims. We have no commercial relationship with the brands discussed, and this site contains no affiliate links.

3. Acceptable use

• You may read, share and quote this site for personal, non-commercial use.
• You may not scrape, republish or repackage substantial parts of the content, or use it to train or fine-tune a machine-learning model, without our written permission.
• You may not misrepresent our content as endorsing a product, brand or retailer, or use it in advertising in a way that implies a partnership with us.
• You may not attempt to interfere with the site’s operation or security.

4. Intellectual property

The text, comparison tables, scoring, layout and any in-house illustrations on this site are our property and are protected by copyright. You may quote from them with attribution; section 3 sets out what you may not do.

Product photographs are not ours and are excluded from that claim. Each one is the image published by the manufacturer on that model’s own Amazon US listing, and it remains the property of its owner. We hold no licence in these images and we assert no rights over them. They are used solely to identify the specific model being discussed on the page where they appear, shown whole and unaltered, with the brand named and no suggestion that the manufacturer has reviewed, approved or sponsored this site or anything on it. The model-by-model source list, the rules we apply, and the route for a rights holder to have an image replaced or removed are set out on our image credits page, which forms part of these terms by reference.

Brand and product names are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and comparison only. Their use does not imply affiliation with, endorsement by or sponsorship from the brand in question. If you are a rights holder and object to the use of any material on this site, write to hello@smarthomeverdict.com and we will act on it — we do not require you to establish a claim first.

5. Accuracy and disclaimers

We work to keep specifications accurate and we record the date each was last verified against manufacturer documentation. Even so, manufacturers change products and documentation, and errors are possible. The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind.

Our scores and recommendations are editorial judgments based on published and independently measured data. They are not laboratory test results, they are not statements of fact about product quality, and they are not professional advice of any kind. Always confirm specifications, compatibility and current details with the manufacturer before making a purchase decision.

6. External links

This site contains no affiliate links and does not link out to retailers. Where a link to an external site does exist, we are not responsible for its content, products or privacy practices.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content, including purchase decisions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Advertising

This site does not display advertising at the time of writing. Display advertising is planned, and where it is introduced it will be clearly identified as advertising. Advertisers will have no influence over editorial content, rankings or scores. See our editorial policy for the rules that govern this separation.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised, and continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
